ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 brings back late-2000s performance design with a calm, everyday attitude. The Cream/Blue Coast colorway leans into technical running heritage, but sits easily next to relaxed denim or layered outerwear. Open mesh and synthetic textiles keep the upper light and breathable, while layered synthetic leather overlays add structure without feeling heavy. At least 20% of those overlays use recycled content, giving the shoe a more considered material story.
Underfoot, a soft foam midsole is paired with visible GEL cushioning in both heel and forefoot to handle daily impact. The TRUSSTIC support system and external heel counter hold the midfoot and rearfoot steady, so the shoe feels secure even on longer days. A tonal rubber outsole keeps the grip consistent, and the rounded toe with standard width delivers a familiar, easy fit. Inside, the sockliner is solution-dyed to reduce water use and carbon impact compared to traditional dyeing methods. With tooling inspired by the 2008 GEL-KAYANO series and subtle two-tone underlays, GEL-Kayano 14 balances archive running DNA with a neutral, modern palette.
