"I had never had anything other then worn out Converse. And when i put these on I felt a year older and I was something, you know. I remember that I got a kiss that day and on the way home in the car with my dad, I was just like "It worked!"."
"What has been a problem in my industry is, that for a long time you have just hired stylists to shop some basic clothing for the actors, in colors that match some kind of theme. But the truth is, that when you look at the young people today, there is no color theme. What is big in the fashion industry is not the same as what they are wearing in High School. So i took a choice and fired the whole department of stylists, and then instead let the young people choose their own outfits."
