Merrell Snow Peak MTL Longsky 2 Matryx is a trail-running model developed for technical off-road use. The collaborative design pairs Merrell’s MTL performance platform with a single-layer Matryx woven upper that integrates Kevlar and high-tenacity polyamide threads for abrasion resistance, structure and low weight. The Charcoal Black colorway uses ripstop-style mesh with welded overlays, a reinforced rubberized toe cap and large Merrell branding along the lateral side. Underfoot, a FloatPro foam midsole with moderate stack height and a 4 mm drop balances cushioning and ground feel, while an ETPU high-rebound footbed adds step-in comfort. A Vibram MegaGrip outsole with 5 mm multidirectional lugs is configured for traction on wet and dry terrain, supported by a moisture-wicking lining and vegan-friendly construction. The model is finished with recycled laces, recycled tongue webbing and Snow Peak branding on the interior.
