La Sportiva TX5 Evo GORE-TEX is built for long days in mixed terrain, from wet forest trails to loose alpine approaches. The mid-high profile gives support without feeling bulky, while the nubuck leather upper is wrapped in a full rubber rand and toe cap to handle rock contact and sharp edges. Inside, a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane keeps water out and lets heat escape, so the boot stays usable across changing weather and pace. Cushioning comes from an Ortholite insole and an EVA midsole, where STB Control inserts help keep the foot stable on uneven ground. Underfoot, a Vibram MegaGrip outsole with Impact Brake System and 4.5 mm lugs gives reliable traction on both climbs and descents, with an 8 mm drop for a natural stance. The differentiated lacing and 3D Flex System around the ankle allow the fit to be tuned for technical sections or longer approaches, while the Carbon/Yellow colorway sits easily next to technical pants and layered shells.
