La Soufflerie Pichet is a hand-blown glass vessel for everyday use in the home. Made from 100% recycled glass in a turquoise tone, it has a rounded body that narrows at the waist and opens into a wide mouth. The form was originally conceived as a carafe, while the footed base and generous opening also accommodate fuller floral arrangements. The glass is colored in the furnace rather than painted, so the translucent tone is integral to the material. Each piece is shaped by hand using traditional mouth-blown techniques, with subtle variations in height, width and air bubbles. A visible pontil mark on the underside shows where the glassblower’s cane was detached. The compact size works on a table, shelf or sideboard.
