Dr. Martens San Mule is a backless slip-on that reworks the brand’s utilitarian language into a mule silhouette. This version uses smooth, waxy Orleans leather in the Butterscotch colorway, with a lightly textured surface and a substantial feel. The closed-toe, single-piece vamp is finished with tonal stitching and a central seam that adds structure while keeping the lines clean. Inside, a combination of leather and textile lining supports regular use. The mule sits on a 90s-inspired San sole in hardwearing PVC, joined to the upper with Goodyear welted construction, where the components are heat-sealed and stitched rather than glued. A low-profile platform and shallow, sawtooth-style tread complete the sole with a layered sidewall detail.
