The model features a crocodile-textured leather upper in a monochrome Oyster Gray execution, with multi-panel overlays and visible stitching that underline the running-inspired shape. Smooth light-grey panels at the collar and side windows contrast the textured leather, while a tonal N logo and small metallic eyelets keep the look restrained. The sculpted midsole incorporates ABZORB cushioning in both forefoot and heel, reflecting the original 2001 performance setup. A darker TPU heel clip and black rubber outsole contribute to stability and traction in everyday use. The 991CR1 is produced at New Balance’s Flimby factory in the UK.
