New Balance 1000B is a low-top athletic sneaker with a chunky 2000s runner silhouette. The reissued 1999 design combines a mesh upper with glossy synthetic and suede overlays in an inverted panel construction, where mesh underlays sit between the structural layers. An external lacing system with nylon eyelets and a padded tongue and collar secure the foot. Underfoot, a segmented polyurethane midsole with sculpted detailing and cutout windows houses ABZORB cushioning in the heel and forefoot. A Stability Web shank supports the midfoot and helps maintain arch stability, while a wide rubber outsole provides a steady platform. Tonal branding includes a raised N logo, 1000 marking on the lateral forefoot and subtle reflective accents for low-light visibility. The all-black colorway keeps the technical construction visually restrained.
