HOKA Mafate Speed 2 is a trail-running model intended for technical terrain and longer distances. The upper combines monomesh with an external debris screen and welded TPU overlays that form a supportive cage around the foot. A reinforced toe bumper and lightweight external heel counter add structure at the front and rear, while the padded collar and gusseted tongue help stabilize the fit. Underfoot, a thick CMEVA midsole works with early-stage MetaRocker geometry and an Active Foot Frame to create a consistent, rolling stride. A Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5 mm multi-directional lugs is paired with high-abrasion rubber zones in key areas. The Wild Mushroom / Walnut colorway sits on a wide platform with a pronounced rocker profile.
