The North Face Verto Alpine Gore-Tex Casentino is a low-cut hiking shoe intended for technical terrain. The silhouette uses a high-tenacity anti-abrasion mesh upper with welded overlays and synthetic mudguards for structure, while a molded rubber toe cap and reinforced heel counter help protect against rocks and debris. A GORE-TEX 3L bootie with recycled content provides a waterproof, breathable barrier, and the padded tongue and collar are lined with Casentino wool from Tuscany. Underfoot, an EVA midsole works with a rigid stability shank and SKYCORE rock guard for cushioning, midfoot support and forefoot protection. The Vibram XS Trek outsole features 5 mm lugs, a climbing zone at the toe and a braking zone at the heel for traction in varied conditions. The model is finished in the TNF Black/TNF Red colorway with contrasting red laces and lining.
