New Balance 991SS2 updates the classic 99X running line with modern cushioning and a Potters Clay colorway. Produced in the UK at New Balance’s Flimby factory, the 991v2 combines rust-toned pigskin suede overlays with breathable mesh underlays for a structured, ventilated upper. Reflective N branding, toe accents and heel details add visibility and contrast against the earthy base. Underfoot, a full-length FuelCell midsole is supported by ENCAP construction and ABZORB cushioning, with ABZORB SBS pods placed in the sculpted midsole at heel and forefoot for targeted impact absorption. A full gum rubber outsole underlines the retro runner profile while providing traction and durability. The model is finished with a padded mesh collar, white lining and flat laces with a metal D-ring top eyelet.
