HOKA Mafate Speed 2 is a trail running model built for technical terrain. The low-top silhouette combines a lightweight SpeedFrame mesh upper with seamless synthetic overlays that add structure without adding much weight. In the Galactic Grey/Ruby Red colorway, the upper sits on a contrasting high-stack CMEVA midsole and a Vibram Megagrip outsole. HOKA’s early stage MetaRocker geometry is paired with a deep Active Foot Frame and J-Frame construction to support stable landings and guided transitions. Underfoot, a Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole with 5 mm lugs and deep flex grooves is configured for grip and flexibility across varied surfaces. A padded tongue and collar, reinforced toe cap and external heel counter complete the functional build.
