Norda 001 in Astral is built for long days on technical trails. The look is clean and minimal, but every detail is tuned for distance – from the low, stable profile to the precise, sock-like fit that keeps the foot centred when the terrain turns unpredictable.
The seamless one-piece Dyneema® upper uses bio-based fibres that are both light and highly resistant to abrasion, so it holds its shape and structure over time. An elasticised Dyneema® fit system and matching diamond-pattern laces wrap the midfoot for a consistent lockdown without pressure points. Underfoot, norda™ x Arnitel® TPEE supercritical foam keeps weight down while providing a responsive, cushioned feel, supported by a custom eTPU insole that adds extra rebound and impact protection over ultra distances.
A Vibram® soleplate with Litebase® construction cuts unnecessary bulk, while Megagrip® rubber and 5 mm lugs handle wet rock, loose gravel and hard-packed ground with equal confidence. The 26 mm / 21 mm stack and 5 mm drop keep the ride close to the trail for a stable, controlled stride. Finished with an ultra-light sock gusset, the 001 Astral pairs easily with technical running gear or stripped-back outdoor staples.
