Miista's story goes back to April 2010 in Bethnal Green in London's East End area. Their vision is to undo the exclusionary practices of the fashion industry in an attempt to show how we live right now. Over the past decade, they have built a brand of experimental and original designs with texture and shape, but still at an affordable price, compared to many other luxury brands. Founder Laura Villasenin believes that it is not enough to experiment between making a product with the highest quality materials that only come from Europe and the practice of radical shoe design. Her and her brother, who is now her business partner at Miista, were raised with the belief that you should shop less and make your possessions last longer, and their vision is to create luxury investments that people can own and wear forever. Coming from fashion manufacturing generations, Laura has personally always been interested in the ownership of the fashion supply chain, which is why Miista opened their own factory, which was first used for their AW21 “Ready-To-Wear” collection.
