New Balance 991GC2 continues the 99X line with updated cushioning and refined materials. The 991v2 silhouette uses a dark mesh base with layered pigskin suede overlays in the Elephant Skin colorway to create structure and depth across the low-top, running-inspired design. Reflective N logos with debossed detailing and a 991 heel badge emphasize the technical expression, while salmon-toned accents at the toe, heel and tongue introduce a controlled contrast. Underfoot, full-length FuelCell foam works with ENCAP midsole construction and semi-translucent ABZORB SBS pods to provide a cushioned, responsive feel. A sculpted off-white midsole and dark rubber outsole define the profile. The shoe is finished with a padded collar and tongue, flat woven laces and detailed panel stitching, and is produced in the UK.
