BEAMS JAPAN Baieido Incense (Kobunboku) sits somewhere between ritual object and everyday tool. Created with historic incense house Baieido, it follows a classic Kobunboku recipe built around sandalwood, borneol, clove, cinnamon and medicinal herbs – a dry, calm scent that recalls plum trees in early bloom. Each 14 cm stick is made in Japan using traditional compounding methods without modern charcoal additives, giving a steady, nuanced burn that works for meditation, daily routines or quiet pauses at home. The beige set includes a cast-metal holder shaped like a five-petal plum blossom, designed to support the stick and catch falling ash, all housed in a paulownia wood box finished with a gold-plated BEAMS JAPAN logo. A special-order embroidery option adds discreet personal detail, turning the set into a low-key accent for desks, shelves or low tables.
