New Balance 991NV2 updates the classic 99X running-inspired line with revised cushioning and construction. The low-top silhouette pairs pigskin suede overlays with breathable mesh underlays in a dark navy palette, supported by synthetic elements that add structure. Underfoot, a full-length FuelCell midsole works with ENCAP cushioning, combining soft foam with a firm polyurethane rim for a stable feel. ABZORB SBS pods are placed in the heel for targeted impact absorption, while an NDurance rubber outsole with defined traction grooves is built for consistent grip. Reflective accents on the N logo and heel tab reference the model’s running heritage, and a padded mesh collar and tongue help secure the fit. 991 and v2 branding on the tongue, ankle and heel maintain the familiar 991 identity with updated panelling.
