Mafate Speed 2

HOKA Mafate Speed 2 is a trail running model built for use on technical terrain. This Black / Castlerock version combines an engineered mesh upper with no-sew TPU overlays and a reinforced toe bumper for abrasion resistance, while a padded collar and tongue contribute to a secure feel over longer distances. An external TPU heel counter works with HOKA’s Active Foot Frame to hold the foot in place and provide moderate stability. Underfoot, the silhouette uses a high-stack CMEVA midsole with MetaRocker geometry for consistent transitions and a defined toe-off, supported by sculpted sidewalls and a speckled finish. A Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5 mm multi-directional lugs is configured for traction and durability on varied surfaces. The 4 mm drop and balanced cushioning keep the profile relatively low to the ground for a more direct trail experience, while subtle branding and the monochrome palette keep the design restrained.
