SUBU Tokyo started the journey back in 2016 and has since produced over a million shoes. SUBU is best known for making their so-called "winter sandals", which are a very comfortable, almost slipper-like, lined and not least waterproof silhouette. The idea originated in Japan, where sandals are more than just shoes. Since the beginning, SUBU has had sustainability as one of their missions and has therefore included a new version of their comfortable mules in their latest 2022 collection - their "RE". The RE collection is produced with approximately 70% recycled materials. This version has an outer made from 100% recycled PET nylon fabric, an inner made from ECOPET® polyester, regenerated cellulose fiber Bemberg™ and 20% recycled polystyrene blend for the sole.
