Merrell Ontario Speed LTR Lace SE is a low-top hiking sneaker in a monochrome black execution. The upper combines full grain leather with a protective rubber rand around the lower portion for added resistance to rocks and abrasion. Inside, a 100% recycled breathable mesh lining and recycled mesh footbed cover help manage moisture, while a 50% recycled removable EVA foam footbed provides cushioning and can be taken out for airing or replacement. A bellows tongue construction helps keep debris out, working with a traditional lace closure, hiking-inspired eyelets and a padded collar for a stable fit. Underfoot, the model uses a FloatPro foam midsole with Super Rebound Compound and FloatEco Foam for lightweight cushioning and impact absorption, supported by a rock plate for underfoot protection. A Vibram TC5+ outsole with 4 mm lugs offers traction on varied terrain.
