ASICS GEL-SD-Lyte sits in the space between archive runner and modern city shoe. The silhouette keeps things streamlined, with layered tooling underfoot and a clean upper built for everyday use. Mesh is used as the base for breathability, reinforced with synthetic leather overlays and a protective shell that wraps the midfoot to add structure and shield the softer underlays.
The design takes cues from the strength and layering of an eggshell, using a molded upper and stacked midsole to lock in the foot while keeping cushioning consistent. FLYTEFOAM® PROPEL™ runs through the midsole to soften impact and give a light, responsive feel when moving through the day. Underneath, a durable rubber outsole is built to handle regular wear and resist abrasion.
In Vibrant Yellow/Black, the shoe leans into contrast: yellow leather and mesh set the base, with black details, chrome eyelets and minimal stitching keeping the profile sharp and uncluttered.
