BEAMS JAPAN Cochae Traditional Origami brings classic Japanese paper folding into a clean, graphic format. Developed by design unit COCHAE under the concept of “design for play”, the set reworks six familiar motifs – including cranes, turtles, cicadas and frogs – into multi-coloured sheets that quietly guide the folding process through their layout. Each 15 x 15 cm sheet balances traditional origami heritage with a contemporary, almost poster-like expression, making the finished figures as suitable for display on a desk or shelf as they are for a calm, hands-on break. With clear diagrams for every model and three sheets per motif, the set works for both first-time folders and those who already know the basics, keeping the focus on simple, tactile construction.
