Moschino was founded back in 1983 by Franco Moschino, who at the time actually wanted to become a painter. The dream of becoming a painter was expressed throughout the foundation of Moschino in many of the prints and color expressions that Moschino is known for on their clothes.
After working with the fashion house Versace as an illustrator, Franco Moschino then started his own brand of the same name. Over time, Moschino has created many recognizable designs, such as prints with dots, fruits, hearts, peace signs and not least their quilted leather bags. In 2013, the brand was taken over by the designer Jeremy Scott, who has since given his ironic take on fashion with perfumes shaped like cleaning products and other over-the-top collections inspired by icons like Marie Antoinette.
