Dr. Martens 1461 is a low-top derby shoe rooted in the brand’s workwear tradition. This 3-eye model uses coated full grain leather in a matte black finish, creating a water- and spill-resistant upper that is easy to wipe clean. The monochrome Black treatment continues across leather, laces, eyelets, welt stitching and outsole for a uniform appearance. Underfoot, the shoe sits on an air-cushioned sole with a re-engineered tread that is oil-, fat- and abrasion-resistant, while GRIP-TRAX outsoles combine PVC with rubber pods for added slip resistance. A SoftWair sock liner with moisture-wicking properties and targeted memory foam pads provides step-in comfort and support. The upper and sole are joined using Goodyear welted construction, where they are heat-sealed and stitched for durability.
