Salomon XT-QUEST is a technical trail model that combines a running-inspired shape with hiking-oriented stability. The low-top silhouette features a breathable mesh upper with welded synthetic overlays that form the SensiFit cage for a secure, wrapped feel. In the Black/Ftw Silver/Castlerock colorway, the layered construction appears in muted tones with reflective-style accents that underline the structured lines. Underfoot, a dual-density EVA midsole works with Salomon’s 4D Advanced Chassis to guide the foot and provide cushioning and support over longer distances. The Contagrip outsole uses aggressive, multi-directional lugs for traction on uneven or wet surfaces, while a reinforced rubber toe cap and extended mudguard protect high-wear areas. A Quicklace system with central toggle allows fast, even tightening and straightforward on-off, supported by a padded tongue and collar. Salomon branding on the heel and toe completes the design.
