Wide Denim

BEAMS Wide Denim leans into classic workwear with a relaxed, wide silhouette and a firm rise. Cut from 100% cotton denim in an Indigo Used wash, the jeans are rope dyed with pure indigo on the warp, so the color softens and fades with a natural, lived-in look over time. The fabric is woven on old looms with loosened warp tension and a firm weft, giving it an uneven texture and a substantial feel that recalls traditional selvedge, even though this is a double-width cloth.

Details stay close to the 5-pocket blueprint: a watch pocket, metal rivets at stress points, chain-stitched seams and a zip fly with belt loops at the waistband. Instead of standard water-based finishing, the denim is sun-dried, which keeps the hand dry and slightly rigid from the start. Skew prevention is intentionally left out, so the side seams may twist subtly with wear, adding to the workwear character. The wide cut works easily with simple T-shirts, flannel shirts or light outer layers.
