ASICS UB12-S GEL-SD-Lyte is a low-top SportStyle sneaker with a technical, early-2000s inspired profile. Created in collaboration with Kiko Kostadinov Studio, the model uses a breathable mesh upper with cage-like synthetic overlays that form the ASICS side stripes and layered paneling in the Obsidian Grey/Grove colorway. The open mesh base supports airflow, while a protective toe bumper and sculpted heel counter add structure. Underfoot, a streamlined midsole incorporates rearfoot GEL cushioning for impact absorption, combined with TRUSSTIC technology for midfoot stability. A segmented rubber outsole with flex grooves and a decoupled heel crash area is used for traction and transition. The shoe is finished with a padded tongue and collar.
