La Sportiva TX4 Evo ST is built for technical approaches where stability and grip matter. The upper combines high-tenacity TPU mesh with recycled PES yarn to handle abrasion from rock and scree while still letting air through on longer days out. A recycled rubber rand and toe cap wrap the front of the shoe, adding a solid barrier against sharp edges and rough contact.
The Mythos-inspired lacing runs far down the forefoot, using recycled laces and hooks to fine-tune the fit from toe to collar. A wider forefoot and Traverse last give room where it’s needed, keeping the feel secure yet comfortable over hours of movement. Underfoot, the Traverse injection MEMlex midsole works with a co-molded TPU shank and STB Control System™ to keep the shoe torsionally stable on uneven ground, without losing cushioning. An Ortholite® Hybrid Approach insole adds breathable comfort, using partially recycled materials.
Grip comes from the Vibram® Megagrip™ outsole, shaped with Impact Brake System™ lugs, a defined Climbing Zone Platform at the toe and a Trail Bite™ heel for controlled braking on steep descents. Finished in a Carbon/Limestone palette, the TX4 Evo ST sits easily next to technical pants, softshells and lightweight alpine layers.
