ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1 is a low-top sportstyle sneaker that revisits a mid-2000s running silhouette with updated cushioning. The upper combines open mesh with metallic synthetic overlays inspired by gothic armor, creating a structured and ventilated build in a White/Pure Silver colorway with green accents. Signature ASICS stripes sit on the sidewalls, while a padded tongue, textile lining and traditional lacing secure the foot. Underfoot, the sculpted midsole borrows tooling from the GEL-NIMBUS 17, pairing foam cushioning with visible GEL inserts in the forefoot and heel for impact absorption. FLUIDRIDE cushioning and a GUIDANCE TRUSSTIC support system contribute to a stable, consistent stride, and the segmented rubber outsole provides traction and flexibility.
