Artist Talks: Elsked

Artist Talks aims to delve into the minds and stories of creative souls who shape our world. Join us as we explore the vibrant tapestry of inspiration that surrounds us, guided by the voices and visions of those who dare to dream, create, and inspire.

Can you briefly introduce yourselves and tell us about your roles in the group?

We are Elsked, a music group consisting of Felix, the producer and DJ; Jonas, the lead vocalist and songwriter; and Malthe, who is a producer and instrumentalist. Together, we create music with a unique sound and a strong visual universe.

How did your journey into the world of music begin?

Elsked was born out of a desire to try something new. Felix and Malthe have known each other for years and collaborated on music in the past. Jonas joined the group while we were working on his rap album. Along the way, we were inspired by artists like The Blaze and began experimenting with a more electronic sound. We quickly realized this was a universe we were all passionate about, so we decided to fully dedicate ourselves to Elsked.

Your sound is quite unique. How has your musical style evolved, and what inspires you?

Our sound is a blend of our diverse backgrounds – from rap and soul to more organic music – combined with a love for electronic elements. We draw inspiration from many sources, and our style is constantly evolving. For us, music and visual aesthetics are deeply interconnected, and artists like The Blaze have played a significant role in shaping our creative process. We’re always seeking new inspirations and striving to mature our sound.

If you had to describe your sound in three words, what would they be?

Energetic, poetic, and versatile.

Where do you see Elsked in five years?

Music will always be the core of what we do, but we dream of exploring various projects and thinking big. We aim to develop our merchandise brand into an independent venture, launch our own label, and support other artists in getting their music out there. We also dream of producing films and creating music for visual projects that expand our universe. For us, it’s about using music as a foundation to build something even greater and explore all the creative opportunities ahead.

What do you consider your greatest achievement as a group?

Playing in front of 15,000 people at Roskilde Festival was an unforgettable experience and a major milestone for us. We’re also incredibly proud of our first EP, which truly brought us together as a group and set the standard for what we do today. The process was both challenging and immensely rewarding.
