ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1 is a low-top technical sneaker that reworks a 2006 marathon model into a contemporary lifestyle silhouette. This version has a black open mesh upper with layered metallic-silver synthetic and leather overlays that create a structured feel with references to European gothic armor. The mesh base contributes to airflow, while embossed synthetic leather panels reinforce high-wear zones. Underfoot, the sculpted midsole combines FLUIDRIDE cushioning with rearfoot and forefoot GEL technology for impact absorption. Tooling from the GEL-NIMBUS 17 supports long-wear use, assisted by a GUIDANCE TRUSSTIC system that stabilises the midfoot. A black rubber outsole with flex grooves and traction pods offers grip and flexibility in daily wear. The Black/Graphite Grey colourway is finished with black Tiger Stripes outlined in white.
